Undergraduate courses - UCAS - UCAS Extra

UCAS extra is a free service that you can use to apply to one course at a time between the 25th Feb and early July. You are eligible for this service if:

  • If you were not accepted to all five universities you applied for or declined the offers you received before the 30th June.
  • If you did not use all 5 choices you can also use Track. (you will have to pay an additional fee of £11 to if you need not do this when first applying)
  • If you are unsure if you are eligible or not it will show up as a button when you sign in to track your application.

How to use Extra

First you will have to search for courses that have extra availability. This can be done on the main UCAS website (www.ucas.com)

Get in touch with the university or college to check they can consider you.

Add the details to track.

You will be able to alter your personal statement to make your application to the course stronger.

We recommend that you speak with a careers advisor, family and close friends before declining all offers and participating in UCAS Extra as you will lose your place at the university that you have confirmed or made as an insurance choice.
