Undergraduate courses - UCAS - What is UCAS?

UCAS stands for the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service. It is is a UK-based organisation whose role is to operate the application process for Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Initial Teacher Training courses for British universities. They also offer help and advice for young people moving to a new school after they have taken their GCSEs this service is called UCAS Progress.

In 2014 UCAS dealt with almost three million applications from students in the UK, Europe and Internationally.

UCAS is a registered charity and is funded through the fees for application and through commercial advertising on the website.
