Over recent years, we at ER&M have noticed there is a growing amount of concern among careers teachers, pupils and parents regarding several areas.
The first main area of concern is the dramatic reduction in the number of places available to Northern Ireland domiciled students in Queens and University of Ulster. This concern is followed by the amount of subjects they have been dropped by local universities. More recently the high likelihood, of the Northern Ireland Assembly increasing tuition fees.
Here at ER&M we designed the University Roadshow with the idea of providing students in upper and lower sixth, alongside those who were currently studying BTEC qualifications throughout Northern Ireland with up to date information about the wide variety of third level opportunities available to them.
The University Roadshow will provide useful information for all students intending to apply to universities in: England, Scotland, Wales, the Republic of Ireland and Europe.
The layouts of the University Roadshow will that of a presentation at the start. The presentation will be an introduction to the students to the university roadshow and key areas we intend to talk about:
Following the presentation students will then have the opportunity to visit university representatives at their university stands. Where they will be able to ask questions and gain information about the universities in an attendance of the university roadshow.
The University Roadshow is currently a free service to schools and colleges in Northern Ireland.
