About the University Roadshow

Over recent years, we at ER&M have noticed there is a growing amount of concern among careers teachers,
pupils and parents regarding several areas. These include the reduction of places available to N.I. domiciled
students in Queens University Belfast & Ulster University and the limited amount of courses available.

ER&M designed the University Roadshow (UR) with the idea of providing students in Year 13 & 14 and those
studying BTEC qualifications with up to date information about the wide variety of third level
opportunities available to them throughout the England, Scotland, Wales, ROI and Europe.

Beginning in 2016, the University Roadshow has gone from strength to strength
visiting on average 90 schools each year.

The UR begins with a presentation and then follows with a careers exhibiton with
university representatives present.
The presentation introduces the students to the university roadshow and covers key areas such as:

  • Applying to university.
  • The UCAS Application system.
  • The CAO application system for entry into the Republic of Ireland’s universities.
  • Applying to universities in Europe.
  • Key areas in finance such as fees, loans, grants and scholarships available when studying in UK & EU.
  • We will be running a number of competitions during the event.

The event lasts a maximumm of 2 hours.

The University Roadshow is currently a free service to schools and colleges in Northern Ireland.
